Villa Borghese Gardens, Rome – The View

Centar Rima je okružen velikim zelenim površinama i raskošnim antičkim vilama, koje su ostaci krune vila koje su okruživale papski grad. Mnoge od njih su značajno razorene kroz špekulacije sa nekretninama krajem 19. veka. Od preostalih je naznačajnija Vila Borgeze „Villa Borghese“, sa velikom pejzažnom baštom koja je izgrađena u naturalističkom engleskom stilu iz 19. veka. Ta bašta sadrži brojne zgrade, muzeje (Galerija Borgeze) i atrakcije.

Park Borgezi se zvanično zove Villa Borghezi – po zgradi koja se tu nalazi.Danas je to jedan od najlepših i najpoznatijih muzeja u Rimu – Galleria Borghese, sa izuzetno bogatom umetničkom kolekcijom.

Za šetnju ovim divnim parkom odabrala sam lepršavu letnju haljinicu cvetnog printa, omiljene naočare za sunce i torbici koju sam tog dana kupila u Rimu.

Villa Borghese is the largest public park in Rome. It offers a pleasant refuge from the often hectic streets in the city. The park features a lake, temples, fountains, statues and several museums. The park is located just north of theSpanish Steps. Main entrances are at the Piazzale Flaminio (near Piazza del Popolo) and the Porta Pinciana at the end of the Via Veneto.

My outfit was for  sightseeing, so it had to be cozy: I chose lovely summer dress with floral print, my favorite sunnies and the bag I bought in Rome.
