Siena

Sijena je najlepši  italijanski srednjovekovni grad, i zaista je bila vredna naše posete. Čak i ukoliko samo prolazite kroz Toskanu, obavezno je posetite. Ovde ste mogli da vidite zašto je ovo putovanje za mene bilo najlepše u životu, a Sijena je nekako bila šlag na torti. 

Sijena je svetski poznata kao grad sa veoma dobro očuvanim starim srednjovekovnim jezgrom i ogromnim kutlurnim i umetničkim nasleđem, koje je sve skupa pod zaštitom UNESKOa. Njen centralni trg naziva se Il Campo, poznat širom sveta po čuvenom Palio-u, tradicionaknoj konjičkoj trci koja se kroz grad održava dva puta godišnje (2. jula i 16. avgusta). Tome događaju koji podrazumeva jahanje konja bez sedla po kaldrmi prisustvuju brojni turisti, a prenosi ga i televizija. Trka je dosta opasna, jer se mnogo konja i jahača nađe u uskim ulicama Sijene.  

Siena is  the most beautiful Italian medieval town, and it really was worth our visit, even if you are just passing through Tuscany, you shouldn’t skip this city.

 Here you can see why this trip was the best ever for me, and Siena was the icing on the cake.

The historic centre of Siena has been declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site.  It is one of the nation’s most visited tourist attractions. Siena is famous for its cuisine, art, museums, medieval cityscape.

Siena’s heart is its central piazza known as Il Campo, known worldwide for the famous  Palio run here, a horse race run around the piazza, held twice a year.

No goofy hats and mint juleps here—this is a medieval tradition involving bareback riders racing on cobblestones (so as you might imagine, it’s quite dangerous). Siena is an easy daytrip by train from Florence, just 43 miles away.

 Movie audiences worldwide can see Siena and the Palio in the James Bond movie,Quantum of Solace.

 

 

Što se mog outfita tiče, jako sam srećna što sam konačno pronašla savršenu, vanvremensku torbu, idealnu za leto i zimu, koja se odlično uklopila uz upečatljive cipele. Luda sam za ovim oversized, lepršavim, dugim mantilićima, moja mama je u mladosti nosila slične, a ovaj u boji cigle je definitivno moj favorit za ovu sezonu.

I’m very happy that I finally found the perfect, timeless bag, ideal for summer and winter, which is amazing fit with these striking sandals. And, the only thing better than a trench coat is a silk trench coat.  I’m crazy for these oversized, flowing, long trench coats, my mom was  wearing similar ones when she was young, and this brick colored loose fit trench-coat  is definitely my favorite one for this season. It gives you formality or informality, the light and luxe outfit,  depending on what you wear it with.

The magnificent complex of the Cathedral of Siena, its Duomo, houses a series of some of the most important monuments of the European artistic panorama.
