Elephant tracking, Phuket's Big Buddha and at Kata Noi beach

Iako mi je na neki način bilo žao što životinje nisu na slobodi, jahanje slonova bilo je prelepo i nezaboravno iskustvo. Iako sam bila uplašena da mi neka zmija neće pasti na glavu 🙂 opasnosti nije bilo, i sve je prošlo predivno. Ništa bolje od svežeg kokosovog mleka nakon vožnje na slonovima. 🙂 Posle toga obišli smo jednu od najbitnijih znamenitosti Puketa, Velikog Budu, i za kraj je usledilo opuštanje na plaži.

Set on a beautiful Ocean Viewpoint in this dense tropical jungle setting is where the Elephant tracking adventure starts. We went through the dense tropical forest along paths and trails from the southwest corner of the beautiful Phuket island stopping at scenic beauty for photographs along the way.

Phuket’s Big Buddha is one of the island’s most important and revered landmarks. The huge image sits on top of the Nakkerd Hills between Chalong and Kata and at 45 metres high it is easily seen from far away.

Kata Noi

This cosy little bay is found at the end of a beachside cul-de-sac, just a few minutes’ drive over the hill from Kata beach. There’s not much to do in Kata Noi apart from admiring the wonderful scenery, which is precisely the point of coming here.

Relax, take a walk along the soft sands, snorkel or swim. It’s long been a popular spot for surfers in the monsoon season of May to October, though swimming can be dangerous during this period. The popular Kata Viewpoint, offering a stunning vista across the three bays of Karon, Kata and Kata Noi, is only a five-minute drive along a winding road towards Nai Harn.
